The ride begins at the crater observation point grove (starts from the Desert’s Edge loop). The trail ascends northward mostly on a gentle downhill gradient along the ridges. After about 5 km, the trail joins with the Desert’s Edge loop for a short section (about 500 m) and then continues northward down a long and gradual descent to the north-east above “Mashkit Farm” and “Ramon Vineyard”. The trail concludes at a junction of trails, from which you can continue in several directions.
