Riding in Spaces of Inspiration

Mountain bike trails of Mitzpe Ramon
Adrenaline rush. Nature at its best. Urban touches.

Desert’s edge – a system of biking trails, one of the most beautiful in the world, developed by the local council of Mitzpe Ramon, offers a perfect riding experience, connecting the urban space of Mitzpe Ramon to the pristine desert and the surrounding wilderness.

An excellent opportunity to get to know the agricultural and tourism initiatives of the region, the observation and rest spots, the ridges along the edge of the crater, the hidden wadis, as well as the unique flora and fauna of the Negev Highlands.

The weather in the area allows for riding on the marked routes in the urban and desert spaces of Mitzpe Ramon almost all year round. Of course, it’s always important to check the weather conditions before heading out and to prepare with suitable clothing and equipment.

Easy Access
The trail system starts at 7 different entrance points, located in the town and in the surrounding area. Each entrance point has a display with a map of all the trails, including brief explanation of each trail, its route characteristics, and a QR code from which to download the trail to your mobile device or other navigation equipment. Each trail has its own color and icon.
